I not only read him, I lived a surreal moment while on vacation in Italy; I recognized him as he was walking towards me, touring the Colosseum in Rome !! I stopped him and politely asked if he was Bjorn Lomborg-which I knew immediately- he smiled and said "yes, what's your name?" We went on to chat for a few minutes. He's an incredibly nice man. He was happy to have my wife snap a photo of us. Great fun!
Bjorn, if you ever see this post...thank you! And definitely drop a line.

Neither is Prince Edward Island...
It's news like this that makes me wish Algore had a talk radio show. WoW... wait, did I just accidentally discover why there are so few liberal radio talk shows??? Because on Conservative talk radio, there is real discussion...and real discussion ferrets out the BS ;)

I'll go so far as to say frankly, this is wrong in a number of ways for the Obama's(Michelle)to be trotting out an accessory on this scale...and basically showing it to the media photographers as she carries it in a very unnatural way.
Now, lets ask the question: Do I think it would have been ok for former First Lady Laura Bush to have been trotting out the same purse? Yes, absolutely. GW and Laura Bush are very wealthy, and have been since before becoming the the First family. The Obama's on the other hand, have been mortgaging their lifestyle for decades. They did come into a good bit of money with their book deals, but, lets get real here...a $6000 purse? to me, is far from cool, really pretty embarrassing.
So goes this piece, aptly, into the "do as I say, not as I do" category

And this from a friend of McNair's, Robert Gaddy: "People have certain things that they do in life," Gaddy told The Associated Press on Sunday. "We don't need to look on the situation at this time (but) on the fact we just lost a great member of society."
Sorry folks, when liars like this are considered "great members of society"...I believe society must take a long, hard look at itself.
If you're wondering, yes, I do have a problem with pro sports and the culture of pro sports therein. The people closest to these pro sports figures are the first clue to the blindness of our "hero" starved society.
