It's not complicated. The average American wants the news - all it can get- as raw as it can get it...this is exactly what Foxnews, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, et al, are providing -- unfiltered, up to the minute(if you choose) real, raw...this is what New Media provides, so long as there is a venue to show it to the people...hence, the ever-growing domination of Foxnews in the cable networks. Folks are witnessing for themselves, the devolution of liberalism before their eyes, and more importantly...in their own lives.
I'll repeat a phrase I read some where: The New Media(internet, blogs, talk radio, etc...) is having the same effect on liberalism everywhere, as the fax machine had on the fall of communism... the capabilities of truth can be/are being delivered to every and anyone in real time.
Facts are stubborn things, that's why MSNBC is at the bottom of the ratings ;)
