My hat is off to our Minnesota Congresswoman, Michele Bachmann. Like her or don't like her, she works hard for the citizen. On a personal note - one that is hardly ever publicly noted because of the partisan rancor; is that the Bachmann's have 5 children of their own, in addition, have adopted 23 other kids into their home. Bachmann is a quintisential, selfless, public servant. I for one, thank her heartily for her brave, tireless work.

LIBERAL GUILT: MATT LAUER SAYS HE'S STAYING HOME

Paaalease! Matt Lauer says he's staying home because of the bad economy- last year they whined about being GREEN- despite the fact they flew every which way around the whole globe --with great guilt, of course... what a joke. This is exhibit A of what liberal guilt(feigned and not) is all about; A man wealthy beyond most peoples dreams, dares to sit there and tell the world he somehow feels their pain, and he's going to be an example somehow...spare us Lauer. Fact is, there is "two America's" - as John Edwards would speak of ....it's reality!! It's just that liberals feel the need to pretend that reality does not, nor should not exist!!! This is part and parcel to this farcical ideology.

The reality is that Lauer is rich...he should continue being rich...I want to him to become even richer...this is me, the Friedmanite talking, of course. Lauer, sadly is laden with guilt that he is rich. In my view he should be hopping the globe showing us lowly working stiffs that the world and its possibilities are endless and so is anyone's potential wealth - and he should be proud of it.

One of my favorite axioms which I believe stands true: High tides float all boats.

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact
that Barrack Obama is our President, and that our taxes, and government fees
will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices
would have to increase by about 10%.

Since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state
of the economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead.
This has really been bothering me, since I believe we are family here and I
didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lot and found six
'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks
will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach
this problem. They voted for change; I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.
