HAIL DICK CHENEY: WHY OBAMA PRETENDS

I have been pinging a lot of people about President Obama, in general. And in general, many people say they see him as weak, ineffective. The most troubling, is that many feel a sense of insecurity when it comes to his ineffectiveness on the geo-political, national security stage. My sense is that when/if something horrible or life-changing happens to this country of ours... at the foot of President Obama...people will not be able to say we elected the most experienced, seasoned, wise, mature, effective person to deal with the ways of the real world. This great country cannot afford to have a pretender for a Commander.

Dick Cheney is not being quiet. Nor should he be.

BUYERS REMORSE: AN OBAMA VOTER VENTS

It is no surprise here that I'm not an Obama fan; regardless, Michael Goodwin is a columnist that has been somewhat of a weather vane for me for the last couple years. I first noticed him as a frequent guest on the Lou Dobbs show on CNN. He was center-left commentary on the 08 Presidential race. I observed him back then as a fair and equal critic of the McCain and Obama - generally more critical of McCain. Nontheless, his genuine(to my sense)critique of the candidates was something that I appreciated and followed...not terribly frequently, but enough.
This said, here is his sense today for the choice he made as a President. Given, it wasn't the choice I made, but this speaks to, and lends credence to his ability to be fair and critical on the political landscape. Particularly humble of him because many that believe the way he does, have decided instead to dig in their heels in support of President Obama - a fools errand ,in my view.

I had the honor of meeting Dinesh D'Souza after his debate with Dan Barker at the U of Minnesota last year. He signed my copy of his book What's So Great About Christianity? It was a great debate, as they all are with Dinesh! - many of his debates can be seen on Youtube. I also had a few words with Dan Barker afterwords - interesting story he has.
This interview is excellent! ! I liked this:

Here is another good piece while I'm at it. There's certainly a theme in American politics lately. Now, after a year of the Obama presidency, perspective is an important thing; it is now no longer just the Right that is bringing to light that this emperor has no clothes, its refreshingly, many relevant folk on the Left. Fact.
Brings to mind the many days-many! particularly as a newsjunkie- the days of President Bush almost weekly, being called a "puppet" by the Left/haters, all the while never elucidating as to who the puppetmasters were. Anyhoo...my point is this...President Bush had the confidence and conviction to do what he believed was best for America- and did it- particularly in the long view - this is what I respected him for, and this is polar opposite of puppet characterizations. Obama, on the other hand, gives off precisely the opposite impression when stating his bold moves and measures for "CHANGE" Right or wrong, the American people need to see REAL confidence, REAL sacrifice from their President; right now they're not seeing it...and when they don't, all they really remember is good oratory, and even that from Obama is waning.
