Jim, IMO, any speech(opinion)for advocacy of the 2nd amendment is all to the good. There is no single spokesman for it...the more, the pithier, the merrier... the better ;)
No Jim in St Louis, he did an outstanding job articulating his point. Mr. Nugent is a champion of the right for LAW ABIDING citizens to defend their liberty, property and for Christ's Sake, our very lives!
Ensure you thank a vet for they have defended your life and lively hoods. And thank your current centurions for they are defending what liberties we have left. Because when the "time" comes, and it is coming soon; be ready to operate some form of weapon to defend yourself. Rant off.
As it was and is with the Scots and the Irish - Plaid is simply a way of life.
Hopefully one of your stops on the web for news, economics, links, geo/current politics, commentary, for the conscientious conservative. Progressives/liberals of course welcome and encouraged - a good bit of cognitive dissonance and search for clarity never killed anybody.
I'm an average guy(Carpenter with a lot of opinions)with above average interest in politics, public and foreign policy, economics, new media, faith/Christianity. I'm a skeptical optimist with a reasoned, inquisitive, conservative, realist worldview. I'm certain that my conservative world view was cast at a very young age...I had my mother on the side that was saving human babies from abortion, while on the other hand I had an older sister on the ideological side preoccupied with saving the whales. Some situations when you are young seem complex and difficult to wrap your brain around - this one was not. These conundrums and conflicts in my young life molded me; and time after time confirmed to me that it's crucial that we know-to the best of our abilities- what is right and wrong, and what is good and what is evil.
Sweaty Teddy is certainly passionate, but as a spokesperson I think he could do a better job.
