Schwarzenegger is a R.I.N.O. The (R) Party needs as few of them as possible, nuff on that right now. In this piece,I believe Ross is referring to President Obama and quadrupling the nations debt, yes, sounds surreal when you say it outloud. BTW, I really look forward to seeing the future CA Governor,Meg Whitman!! ;) GO MEG!
The cost of the Iraq war is over $500 billion. That is a substantial amount of the national debt. Sounds kind of surreal when you say it out loud. Again, the debt wouldn't be quite so bad if Bush hadn't started a war for WMD's that didn't exist. Look at the incredible waste of money we continue to go through because of a president who deliberately misled the American people. If he didn't deliberately do it, and seriously thought that Saddam had WMD's than he was one of the most incompetent presidents we have had. Not to mention, a whole slew of people were called unpatriotic, traitors, and told that if we weren't with the president, we were for the terrorists.
Obama want's to spend money on a number of things, that the American people could actually benefit from. (Health care).
You think the Republican party needs to get rid of the RINO's. The problem with so many Republicans, is if someone in the party doesn't totally agree with the ideology, you call them RINO's. What is up with that? You alienate people of your own party by doing that. And Republicans just can't figure out people are becoming disillusioned with the party and why some voted for Obama.
Speaking of RINO's, Cassie Wallender, a national committeewoman from the Washington Young Republican Federation was called a RINO for posting a comment on a FB page that Audra Shay, vice chairman of the Young Republicans, that blatant racism was wrong. If that is something that gets you called a RINO, it's no wonder Republicans think there seems to be more RINO's out there.
Interesting pick, Meg Whitman. I mean, isn't she a RINO too? (Abortion rights, same sex civil unions, same sex couple adoption, grandfathering in same sex marriages prior to the ban...) Yup, sounds like a RINO to me.
As it was and is with the Scots and the Irish - Plaid is simply a way of life.
Hopefully one of your stops on the web for news, economics, links, geo/current politics, commentary, for the conscientious conservative. Progressives/liberals of course welcome and encouraged - a good bit of cognitive dissonance and search for clarity never killed anybody.
I'm an average guy(Carpenter with a lot of opinions)with above average interest in politics, public and foreign policy, economics, new media, faith/Christianity. I'm a skeptical optimist with a reasoned, inquisitive, conservative, realist worldview. I'm certain that my conservative world view was cast at a very young age...I had my mother on the side that was saving human babies from abortion, while on the other hand I had an older sister on the ideological side preoccupied with saving the whales. Some situations when you are young seem complex and difficult to wrap your brain around - this one was not. These conundrums and conflicts in my young life molded me; and time after time confirmed to me that it's crucial that we know-to the best of our abilities- what is right and wrong, and what is good and what is evil.
You do realize that the Republican running the state did that right? And and the then senator from IL was well, in IL?
